Hellavu Ride
Phew. You have no idea what I just went through.
But hey, lets not talk about all the crazy stuff and go back in time to what happened a week ago-THE RED LETTER DAY!
So if you're...
a) a loyal reader of this blog
b) refer to a
c) refer to b
You'd have an idea what I'm talking about ;)
Back to our topic!
Luckily, I was calm throughout the day and okay, I admit I did feel nervous a couple of minutes before they handed out the results, mom actually took a picture of my nervous or a.k.a 'cuak' face and mayn I look funny and no, I'm not gonna upload that picture in this post.
The reaction and feeling I had when I got my result was totally unexpected. Yeah I did feel happy but I don't think you should feel just 'happy' when you get good results in an exam you studied your whole school life for. I guess this comes to show that the many years of hard work and suffering is more valuable than the result itself. I mean you grow and build who you are from the journey, not from the result itself. So when I got my results I sort of felt like holding the long journey of struggling, hardships, joy, failure, success after failure and the feeling that you're not good enough instead of the result itself. The paper I was holding felt insignificant to what I had to go through to actually hold that piece of paper, If that makes any sense. So my dear juniors out there, savor the journey, savor every failure, every struggle because that is what makes everything more worth while and meaningful.
The plan was to go shopping afterwards. But... it was like a thousand degrees outside and who could go shopping under that heat! So my mother and I went to the airport, hoping we could somehow change our 9 p.m flight to a 2 p.m flight. But.. we couldn't unless we bought another ticket which would cost us some money. Screw you xxxxxxx Airlines! I'm never gonna ride you again! Hahahaha ;p So we settled down and camped at the praying room at the airport and decided to assign ourselves the noble task as surau-keepers ;) The 7 hours went by really quick because hey its the 21st century, where we entertain ourselves with technologies and social medias XD
So as soon as we were on the plane, we were really tried. But if you look on the bright side we did technically save a few bucks by not following the original plan which was to go shopping. So from a positive angle, the only difference was that we saved money and wasn't as tired as we were gonna be if we went shopping. That day was truly a day to remember. I think I'd never forget that day and the plane ticket that also served as a ticket to spend a whole day with the person I love the most in this world-my mum. I'll never forget the crazy selfies we took and the heart to heart conversation we had on that night flight back home.
Here's a shout out to my parents, all of my teachers from MJSC Pengkalan Chepa and ABIM and to all my friends! Thanks for everything! I surely couldn't have done this without all of you ;)
